Gokyo
The Gokyo (= five levels) contains the 40 traditional basic Judo throws and is divided into five groups of increasing difficulty. While modern Judo curricula are frequently organized differently, the Gokyo remains a reference every black belt should be familiar with.
The color codes for each of the five groups is related to the color of the belt a Judo practioner wears, who has mastered the throws of the specific level.
