Nage No Kata
This page contains short video clips that show the throws of the Nage-No-Kata. Simply click on the picture of a throw to start the corresponding movie. All clips are in Quicktime format and depending on the current load on the server and your internet connection it can take some time to download a larger clip. The Nage-No-Kata is often perceived as a rather abstract form of training with little practical relevance. This is a misconception. The video clips in the table below demonstrate the application of some Nage-No-Kata throws in a self-defense context (click on a picture to start the movie).

The Nage-No-Kata is divided into five groups with three throwing techniques each. Each technique must be performed left and right.
